During the early 1970's while living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I made a beautiful collection of "God's Eyes" or "Ojos de Dios". It occurred to me this morning, after seeing images of some on the internet, that these were also a step on my mandala making journey. How could I have forgotten about them?! In their creation I first used toothpicks, then popsicle sticks and finally dowels to create the skeletal structure of each. Once I used sticks from trees in my yard, but they were not uniform enough to yield a symmetrical result.
